WHY ADULTS TRAIN
MORE THAN A WORKOUT
Most people come for fitness or self-defence. They stay for how it makes them feel, on and off the mats.
FITNESS THAT DOESN'T FEEL LIKE A CHORE
Every class is a full-body workout, and you'll be too focused on the problem in front of you to watch the clock.
REAL SELF-DEFENCE
You learn to control a resisting opponent with technique, not size or strength. It works because you practise it for real.
STRESS RELIEF
Leave work at the door. An hour on the mats switches your brain off like nothing else.
CONFIDENCE
Solving problems under pressure on the mats makes the rest of life feel a lot more manageable.
A CREW THAT HAS YOUR BACK
Train with people from all walks of life who look after their partners and push each other to get better.
Every class is labelled by level, so you always know what you're walking into. Not sure where to start? I'll point you to the right class on our call.

A CLEAR PATH FOR BEGINNERS
YOUR FIRST 30 DAYS
You won't be thrown in the deep end. Here's what your first month on the mats looks like.
WEEK 1 · FIND YOUR FEET
Learn the basic positions and how to move safely. Go at your own pace, and sit out anything you're unsure about. Sparring is completely optional.
WEEK 2 · BUILD THE BASICS
Core escapes and your first submissions. You'll start to see how the pieces fit together.
WEEK 3 · YOUR FIRST LIGHT ROUNDS
Controlled, light sparring with experienced partners who'll look after you, and only when you're ready.
WEEK 4 · FIND YOUR RHYTHM
Settle into two or three classes a week, and I'll check in with you on how you're going and what you want out of training.
TRAIN HARD. NO EGOS.
SAFETY & CULTURE
The best training partners make you better and still let you go to work the next day. That's the standard on our mats.
EGO-FREE ROOM
Everyone looks after their training partners. Tapping is respected instantly, every time.
MATCHED PARTNERS
New students are paired with experienced, controlled partners, never thrown in with the hardest rollers.
COACH-SUPERVISED ROUNDS
A coach is on the mats for every live round, keeping the intensity where it should be.
TRAIN AROUND INJURIES
Tell me about old injuries and I'll adapt the drills so you can keep training safely.
FIRST AID TRAINED
Coaches are first aid certified, and a kit is always on hand.
CLEAN MATS
Mats are cleaned daily, and good hygiene is expected from everyone.
BELTS & GRADINGS
A PATH YOU CAN SEE
Every stripe and belt is earned on the mats. No shortcuts, no buying rank, so every one means something.
WHITE
Where everyone starts
BLUE
Solid fundamentals
PURPLE
Your own game
BROWN
Refining everything
BLACK
A lifetime on the mats
HOW STRIPES WORK
Each belt has four stripes, awarded for technique, consistency and how you train with others. They're milestones you can track between belts, and a reminder you're moving forward even when it doesn't feel like it.
HOW BELTS WORK
Belts are awarded when you're ready, not on a timeline. I watch how you move, how you roll and how you look after your training partners. Promotions happen in front of the whole team, because everyone who helped you get there should see it.
